It's certainly not a bad movie, just a bit too confusing for me, maybe I will have to think on it some and read up and watch again for a second time. Like you said it's certainly not for everyone.

I actually really, really enjoyed this movie -- but it wasn't until the third time I watched it that the plot started to even sort of make sense. There are some materials online worth checking out, too, that explain the plot: Watching it the fourth time with those cleared the whole thing up. That said, this movie's certainly not for everyone.

I find that spring brings optimism for me.
I have been listening to 'Airbag' by Radiohead quite a bit.

"I am born agaaaaaiin!"

I guess 'Here Comes the Sun' is an obvious choice as well.

I got into shoegaze late myself as I was too busy raving when it was big. So I've been exploring the genre more and more over the last few years and have discovered quite a few modern shoegaze bands that are awesome!

Here are some of my faves and highly recommended.

Pia Fraus (Estonia)
The Daysleepers (Buffalo)
STAR (Chicago) (check Scott Garcia's Lovesliescrushing project too)
Ringo Deathstarr (Austin)
Thrushes (Baltimore)
A Shoreline Dream (Denver)
Air Formation (UK)
and not quite shoegaze but close enough...
The Radio Dept. (Sweden)
A Sunny Day in Glasgow (Philly) more experimental....

tons of others. last.fm is always a great way to find more bands to check out...

I think it is natural to us. I remember "feeling" music as a young child before I could understand what it meant or how to describe it. Actually, I probably still don't completely understand. I heard once that babies have been known to dance in the womb to music or vibrations, and that doesn't surprise me. To some extent, I think certain animals enjoy music also. Chickens have been known to communicate or "sing" to their chicks that are still in the egg.
I also find interesting the way music is related to memory.

Interesting! May be worth the $30 a year now. Unless they've gone and changed that, too.

Now if they can find a way to support the Zune/Zune software. I'm sure that would take actually working with MSFT though, and quite understandably, most would rather not.

There is a group out of Boston called 'Anthems for Odyssey' that I enjoy.

They have a lot of shoegaze in them.
